Thermal investigation on high temperature treatment of cement mortars with high content of marble powder

Abstract The object of the study is cement compositions based on white Portland cement, characterized by a high content marble powder and low water-to-cement ratio. samples were prepared with different concentrations components, affecting their densities strengths determined at 28 days or 120 curing. IR spectroscopy scanning electron microscopy supplement thermal analysis (heating rate 10°C/min in temperature range 20-1200°C). This work aimed to characterize mortars X-ray diffraction (PXRD) (TG-DTG-DSC) up 1200°C. obtained data phase composition, binder-to-aggregate ratio, spectroscopic properties mortars. As result study, an increase decomposition temperatures composites was found. Substitution part clinker leads formation carbo-sulpho-aluminates.
